The reason I decided to choose Jessie J’s ‘Nobody’s Perfect’ is because I personally think this is a very strong and successful song. Jessie J is a very talented singer who is also a great song writer. I write songs my self, and I have lots of respect how Jessie J turned out from a song writer to a world famous star.
The Artist
Jessica
Ellen Cornish or better known as Jessie J, was born in London on March 27th 1988. She
became known by writing songs for Miley Cyrus ( Party in the USA ) and
Justin Timberlake. In 2010 she became known with her famous song ‘Do It Like a
Dude’
song: Do It Like A Dude - Jessie J.
Thinks
really went crazy when she won the Critics Choice award in February 2011 at the
BRIT awards, after realising her song ‘price tag’ with rapper B.O.B, she had
given herself a spot in the famous music industry. And the rest is History.
The song.
Nobody’s Perfect, from Jessie’s debut album ‘Who You Are’
(2011) was written by Jessie herself and Claude Kelly (who wrote songs for the Backstreet
boys, Britney Spears, Whitney Houston, The wanted and more). It was released at
March 27th 2011. The song was produced by Andre Brisset and Kelly,
recorded (at the Santisound Studios in California, LA) by Ben Chang, mixed by
Jean-Marie Horvat, however the Single version (video 1) was remixed by Tom
Elmhirts and is slightly different from the album version ( video 2). Nobody’s
Perfect was mastered by Tom Coyne. The Song’s genre is Pop/R&B.

video 2 - the Album version
Nobody’s
Perfect stood number 9 in
the UK ,
becoming Jessie’s third top 10 single.
Meaning of the song
The song
refers to a struggle about perfection and regret over past indiscretions. It’s
about letting someone that you love down, but at the same time trying to show
that person that not everybody’s perfect, and that every person has his or her
flaws. It’s about the regret of something you’ve done in your past. After
reading some comments on youtube and the internet, I found out this is a very
reliable song for most people. We do thing that we sometimes regret and whish
we could turn back in time to do it all differently.
The song now-a-days.
As with
most famous songs these days, people cover them and try to make them sound
different and original. I’ve been looking up some covers and here are some
results:
Kate mcGill
Alexa Goddard
Nicky Ekkebus
And Jessie’s acoustic versions
What a
voice!
quite understandable that it's my favorite song right?
Bye Bye!
