Since the year is almost coming to an end, I would like to state a few things about the past year in music class. I believe this has been a really fun, nice and awesome journey so far. In the beginning of the year we used to do all kinds of different assignment, like a singing test for example. We started of with doing mercy by Duffy. I must say, I think this has been the nicest project of the entire year because we had so much fun with the band and rehearsals. After this, Eva and I made our own song. This was also really fun to do and after that we did another singing test and Eva and I sang 'Forget You' by Cee-Lo Green. I had so so so much fun doing this project because I also really enjoy working with Eva. This year we came to the conclusion that Eva and I are capable of working together really well. Sad thing I'll be leaving school soon :(. Anyway, after the Christmas Break (I believe Creon started after Christmas?) we started on our current project: CREON. and how nice has that been so far!! In the beginning, I have to say, I was a little in doubt whether this would work out fine and stuff. I still thought about that doubt a month  ago or so, but things are really starting to get together now and the piece is starting to sound and look pretty decent. I'm really really excited for June 29th!! So cool we're doing this! I really enjoyed writing a song together with Eva and Isabel, even though we had some issues. I enjoy being in the choir and I believe every one in the class is starting to feel more connected to one another, we communicate well via FaceBook. I also have the felling we get along pretty well. In the coming weeks we'll be rehearsing very often and I'll post some pictures of the costumes and stuff! I think it's going really well, we're getting there and the play will be absolutely awesome! Yay! I'll miss this class tons!

June 10th

Today we had the FINAL music class of MYP 4, and my final music class ever.. Sad moment :(. Luckily, music class won't just finish here, we'll have to practice a whole bunch more before June 29th, performance day. Today we started with a little acting, a scene between the guard and Creon and also a scene between Ismene and Antigone, the poster (press poster) has also been hanging all around school. I'm really happy with the poster, as I made it myself. It;s really cool to see it all around school. I truly hope lots of people will come and watch the show, time will tell!

June 6th

Today we had a quick meeting with me, Mr Weisser, Miss Goossens, Beau, Julia and Jaap. We discussed how the poster should turn out, Tomorrow I'll send Jaap a few pictures. However, I wasn't able to make it to music class because I felt really ill (which sucked). I really hope the poster turns out cool, would be so nice!

May 30th

Today we had a fun day in class. Unfortunately the shoot didn't work out and so we planned this on Monday. We practiced Sheryll's part as well as Max and Arno's piece. It sounded pretty cool and that's basically all we did. :)

May 27th

Hello folks!

Today we had a normal lesson where we showed Eva our pieces and everything. Most of the time we discussed how the photo shoot should be arranged. The photo shoot will take place this Thursday during Mentor Hour. The theme will be black and white, so Valentijn will wear a black suit, with a white 'sjerp' and a white crown. Alexandra will wear a torn black dress and Steph will wear a classy black dress. I'm really excited about this, and I'll post some pictures after Thursday :D.

MAY 23rd

Today in class we actually did quite a lot! First of all I told all my and Julia's ideas on the poster to my class mates. They all liked what we had so far and they even came with some more ideas and improvements. For example we decided to show a picture of the 3 leading rolls on the poster. Either this or only Creon. This will be done via a photo-shoot that Eva and I will do. Exciting! We all decided that the poster should be striking with a dark theme. This includes: colours, font, picture and more. You get my point. Together with Bodie and Julia we'll work on this. Isabel will do the make-up and hair for the photo-shoot and I will be the photographer. The shoot will happen somewhere next week. Furthermore Johannes made a new FB page to communicate etc. We also practiced chorus 1 form scene one. This went pretty well. So as you can see, we did quite a lot. Effective lesson it was I'd say!

16TH OF MAY

Today we had a total different lesson. Mister Weisser showed us a really nice way to learn lyrics by heart. It's basically writing everything down. This is also what me and Eva did the entire lesson whilst Isabel was braiding my hair, which felt very nice :)! It was a quiet but relaxed lesson. I wish we had more of these. Who knows maybe in the future? Anyway, we're supposed to learn our lyrics for part 1 by next week, got some learning to do I think! Byeeeeeeee
